Safeguarding Statement

Last updated 2026-09-02

Athletic IQ is built for youth sport, so child protection is part of the product rather than an option a club can disable.

Controls that are always on

  • Guardian consent is captured before a minor's records are used.
  • Coach-to-minor messaging is recorded and reviewable by a safeguarding lead.
  • Leaderboards shown to minors rank effort, never body metrics.
  • Nutrition guidance for minors is framed around growth and fuelling.
  • Medical and safeguarding details are masked until a staff member gives a reason to view them, and every reveal is logged.
  • Photography and video permission is a guardian decision recorded per child.

Raising a concern

Guardians and athletes can submit a concern from inside their account, which routes only to safeguarding staff. Anyone can also email office@athleticiqgroup.com. Submitted reports are permanent and cannot be edited or deleted.

If a child is at immediate risk, contact the emergency services first.

Club obligations

Each club must name a safeguarding lead, keep DBS and first-aid qualifications current in the platform, and follow its governing body's reporting procedure. Athletic IQ staff never hold standing access to a club's workspace — support access is time-limited, reason-based and audited.
